Writing has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. In fact, I wrote my first piece before I could properly spell my last name. As a writer, I love to find that hidden gem – the story within the story – that makes writing and reporting endlessly fascinating. I am privileged to tell other people’s stories, whether they are essays, news articles, love letters, grants or personality profiles.

Good editors make text crisp and clear. Both cooks and editors need deft hands, a burning desire to create something sublime, and a full appreciation of the raw materials. A big picture focus, obsessive attention to detail, intuitive sense of timing and precise choices make stories – and meals – superb.
